Ujamaa Is a team used to bring local farmers in rural areas together to create a chain of cooperative partnerships. Just like thick forest trees have roots under the earth that are holding and sharing the channels of life, without someone feeling they are less than others.

This results in many different tribes in Tanzania being able to live in peace and harmony due to this “Ujamaa” (togetherness) system. The motto of the paintings is, if everyone is given the same opportunity in life, we can achieve a peaceful way of living without some groups feeling they are superior due to how much they have, or some feeling less human due to how much they don’t have.

– Canvas frames are made of FSC® certified wood. When not available PEFC or equivalent.

– Thin canvas has a 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2″) thick frame

– Thick canvas has a 4 cm (1.6″) thick frame

– Shipped in protective packaging and strong boxes to ensure no damage during transportation.
